Legacy Judaica can act as an agent on behalf of cosigners to facilitate sales of fine antique Judaica.
If you are interested in the sale of an item or an estate and would like to determine the value, please contact our offices with a basic description and pertinent information. You may also be asked to email pictures of your item. A representative will then contact you and arrange for an appraisal of your item at no charge. If you are interested in selling in an upcoming auction, you will be provided with a receipt for your property, as well as a cosigner form detailing the precise terms of sale, including reserve and commission. The reserve is the lowest price at which you are prepared to sell your item.
The catalogue is produced and distributed to interested subscribers across the globe 3-4 weeks before the date of the sale. As a cosigner you will receive a complimentary copy and are welcome to attend the Auction.
You will be notified of the Auction outcome by telephone on the day following the auction.
Confidentiality is guaranteed and under no circumstances is the cosigner’s identity revealed without their consent.
Payment is made 35 business days after the sale, less commissions. A precise breakdown will be provided together with payment. In the event that your item does not sell, the consignor is requested to collect the item from our offices no later than 14 days after the auction.
Should you not be interested in having your item featured at auction, Legacy Judaica can also facilitate private sales.
All Consignments are subject to the Conditions of Sale printed in the Catalogue.
