Lengthy autograph letter by R. Moshe Soloveitchik written to R. Moshe Rosen, author of the Nezer Ha’Kodesh. Dated 1937; R. Soloveitchik thanks R. Rosen for sending him his new sefer on Tractate Temurah and after praising the content and conveying his warmest blessings, he continues with a long Talmudic discourse on some of the points raised in the sefer. R. Moshe Soloveitchik (1879-1941) was a son of R. Chaim Brisker and was a primary disciple of his father. He served in various rabbinical positions in Europe, and also headed the Tachkemoni Yeshiva in Warsaw, before emigrating to the United States in 1929 to serve as Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yitzchak Elchanan (RIETS). He was well known as great Talmudist and expert in the brisker derech. Father of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik of Boston\ New York, and Rabbi Aaron Soloveitchik of Chicago.
