Signed letter of recommendation of behalf of R. Nosson Yechezkel (Weisblum?) a descendant of R. Elimelech of Lizhensk and the Kozhnitzer Magid, who travelled to the Diaspora to raise funds. With mention of the great mitzvah to contribute, particularly as the merit of these great Tzadikim will assist those who donate.
R. Dovid Tzvi Shlomo Biderman (1843-1918), was the son of R. Elozor Menachem Biderman and Rebbetzin Matil Faiga, a granddaughter of the Chozeh of Lublin. As a young child he emigrated together with his father to Yerusholayim.
As a young man he returned to Poland where he became a close talmid of R. Aaron Karliner (Bais Aaron) and upon his return to Eretz Yisroel, he opened a Bais Ha’Midrash for the Karliner Chassidim. Upon the passing of his father in 1883, he refused to become Rebbe despite the pleading of the Chassidim. Only after the passing of his uncle, R. Yitzchok Dovid in 1887 did he agree to become Rebbe, incorporating many minhagim of Karlin to the Chassidus. His Torah was published in Likutei Divrei Dovid. He was renowned a great Tzaddik and was held in great esteem. In his capacity a member of Kollel Warsaw he worked tirelessly for the benefit of the Jews of the old Yishuv.

מכתב המלצה חתום מטעם ר’ יוסף יחזקאל (ויסבלום?), מצאצאי ר’ אלימלך מליזנסק והמגיד מקוז’ניץ, שנסע לגייס כספים בגולה. המכתב מציין את גודל המצווה שבתרומה, במיוחד לאור העובדה שזכות צדיקים אלו תעמוד לימין התורמים.
ר’ דוד צבי שלמה בידרמן (תקצ”ג- תרע”ח 1843-1918), היה בנם של הרב אלעזר מנחם בידרמן והרבנית מאטל פייגא, נכדת החוזה מלובלין. בצעירותו עלה עם אביו לירושלים.
כאברך צעיר חזר לפולין, שם התקרב לר’ אהרון קרלינר (בית אהרן). עם שובו לארץ ישראל, פתח בית מדרש לחסידי קרלין. עם פטירת אביו בשנת תרמ”ג (1883), סירב לקבל עליו את עול ההנהגה למרות הפצרות החסידים. רק לאחר פטירת דודו, ר’ יצחק דוד, בתרמ”ז (1887), הסכים, תוך שהוא מכניס מנהגים רבים ממנהגי קרלין לחסידות. את חידושי תורתו כתב בספר ליקוטי דברי דוד. נודע כצדיק גדול וזכה להערכה עצומה. במסגרת תפקידו כחבר בכולל וורשא פעל ללא לאות למען יהודי הישוב הישן.
