Typed letter (in German) signed by Sara Schenirer on the official stationary of Bais Yaakov, on behalf of one of the teachers of her seminary. She writes that one of her young teachers (Bracha Lewin from Siedlice), who was an orphan, was ill and she cannot afford the necessary medical expenses. She appeals to the Agudas Yisroel of Zurich that they should assist in this worthy cause which will benefit the Bais Yaakov.
Sarah Schenirer (1883-1935), was a pioneer of Jewish education for girls and initiated a system of organized Jewish education for girls “Bais Yaakov”. Founded in 1917 with a few students, by the eve of the Holocaust there were about 250 schools established and over 40,000 students in Bais Yaakov schools. Her influence and contribution to Torah true Judaism is immeasurable and her educational system and teachings live on.

מכתב מוקלד (בגרמנית), חתום על ידי שרה שנירר, על נייר המכתבים הרשמי של “בית יעקב” לטובת אחת המורות בסמינר. היא כותבת שאחת המורות הצעירות בצוות (ברכה לוין מהעיר שדליץ) היא יתומה וחולה ואינה יכולה לשלם את הוצאותיה הרפואיות החיוניות. היא פונה לאגודת ישראל בציריך בבקשה לעזור במטרה חשובה זו לטובת סמינר לבית יעקב.
שרה שנירר (תרמ”ג- תרצ”ה, 1883-1935) הייתה חלוצת החינוך היהודי לבנות ויזמה מערכת חינוך יהודית מאורגנת לבנות- “בית יעקב”. בית הספר הראשון של בית יעקב נוסד בשנת תרע”ז (1917) עם מעט מאוד תלמידות, עד שבערב השואה כבר עמדו כ -250 בתי ספר שבהם מעל 40,000 תלמידות. השפעתה ותרומתה ליהדות תורנית אמיתית אינן ניתנות לשיעור, ושיעוריה, יחד עם המוסד העצום שהקימה, קיימים ועומדים עד ימינו.
