Letter signed by R. Moshe Sherer and R. Yehuda Meir Abramowitz to R. Elazar Menachem Mann Shach, advising of the program of the upcoming World Agudah convention in Netanya at which he was scheduled to speak. The letter mentions that the Vizhnitzer Rebbe and Gerrer Rebbe will also be in attendance and are also scheduled to speak. This letter is of particular interest as in 1988, R. Shach had founded Degel HaTorah as a separate party from the original Agudas Yisroel.
R. Moshe Sherer (1921-1998), served as President of Agudath Israel of America. Enormously respected by Jewry’s great rabbinical leaders, the general public, as well as in the highest echelons of the government, he devoted his life to serving the Jewish people.

מכתב עם חתימותיהם של ר’ משה שרר ור’ יהודה מאיר אברמוביץ לר’ אלעזר מנחם מן שך, המעדכן אותו על כינוס עולמי מתקרב של אגודת ישראל בנתניה, בו אמור הרב שך לשאת דברים. במכתב מצוין כי האדמו”רים מויז’ניץ ומגור ינכחו גם כן במקום ואף הם אמורים לשאת דברים. מכתב זה מעניין במיוחד שכן בשנת תשמ”ח 1988, כבר הקים הרב שך את דגל התורה כמפלגה שהתפצלה ממפלגת אגודת ישראל.
ר’ משה שרר (תרפ”א-תשנ”ח 1921-1998) שימש כנשיא אגודת ישראל באמריקה. גדולי הרבנים, המון העם ודרגות הממשל הגבוהות רחשו לו כבוד רב והוא הקדיש את חייו לשירות העם היהודי.
