R. Yechezkel Sarna (1890–1969), was among the closest disciples of R. Nosson Tzvi Finkel the “Alter of Slabodka” and was the so-in-law of R. Moshe Mordechai Epstein, Rosh Yeshiva of the Slabodka Yeshiva. He had a leading role in the transfer of part of the Yeshiva from Europe to Chevron in 1925, and following the Chevron Massacre of 1929, the re-establishment of the Yeshiva in Yerusholayim. In 1934, following the passing of his fathe-in-law he was appointed Rosh Yeshiva where he served until his passing.

ר’ יחזקאל סרנא (תר”נ – תשכ”ט, 1890-1969), היה מתלמידיו המקורבים ביותר של ר’ נתן צבי פינקל ה”סבא מסלבודקא” וחתנו של ר’ משה מרדכי אפשטיין, ראש ישיבת סלבודקא. היה לו חלק גדול בהעברת חלק מהישיבה מאירופה לחברון בתרפ”ה (1925), ולאחר טבח חברון בשנת תרפ”ט (1929), בהקמתה מחדש של הישיבה בירושלים. בשנת תרצ”ד (1934), עם פטירת חותנו, הוא נתמנה לראש הישיבה שם כיהן עד פטירתו.
