R. Dovid Nieman (died 1908) was among the distinguished talmidim of the Chasam Sofer. He served first as a Dayan and later as Rosh Bais Din in Pressburg where he was greatly respected. He is mentioned numerous times in the responsa of the Ksav Sofer. Author of sefer Nir L’Dovid.

ר’ דוד ניימאן (נפטר בתרס”ח-1908) היה מגדולי תלמידיו של החתם סופר. הוא שימש בתחילה כדיין ובהמשך כראש בית דין בפרשבורג, וההערכה אליו הייתה רבה. הוא מוזכר פעמים רבות בשו”ת הכתב סופר. מחבר ספר “ניר לדוד”.
