Rare edition of the MaHaRaM Schiff, both parts, with the first edition of the commentary (Biur) of R. Mordechai Mardush (1740-1818), a close Chossid of R. Mordechai of Neshchiz and the Rov of Poryck. He writes that he wrote this commentary together with R. Noach of Ludmir, a close student of the Chozeh of Lublin. With many important approbations including those by R. Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev, R. Yisroel of Kozhnitz, the Yeshuos Yaakov and others.

R. Shlomo Leib Taback (1832-1907), was born in Sighet and studied under the Yetev Lev in Gorlitz and the Kol Aryeh. In 1857, the Yetev Lev was appointed as Rav in Sighet and he chose R. Shlomo Leib to serve as head Dayan, a position he served until his passing 50 years later. He was one of the great Talmidei Chachomim and Poskim of his era, particularly famous for his incessant hasmoda. R. Meir Arik said of him “Godol Chachmei Doro”. He authored the classics Erech Sha”i and T’shuras Sha”i.

מהדורה נדירה של הספר מהר”ם שיף, שני החלקים, עם המהדורה הראשונה של ביאור ר’ מרדכי מרדוש (ת”ק-תקע”ח 1740-1818), חסיד מקורב לר’ מרדכי מנשכיז ורב בפבליקה. הוא כותב כי חיבר את הביאור יחד עם ר’ נח מלודמיר, תלמיד מקורב של החוזה מלובלין. עם הסכמות חשובות רבות, ביניהן מר’ לוי יצחק מברדיטשוב, ר’ ישראל מקוז’ניץ, הישועות יעקב ועוד.

ר’ שלמה לייב טאבק (תקצ”ב-תרס”ז 1832-1907), נולד בסיגעט ולמד תורה אצל הייטב לב בגורליץ והקול אריה. בשנת תקי”ז (1857), מונה הייטב לב לרב בסיגעט ובחר בר’ שלמה לייב לשמש כראש הדיינים, בתפקיד זה כיהן במשך 50 שנה עד פטירתו. היה מגדולי תלמידי החכמים והפוסקים בדורו, ונודע בעיקר בהתמדתו יוצאת הדופן. ר’ מאיר אריק אמר עליו שהיה “גדול חכמי דורו”. חיבר את הספרים ערך ש”י ותשורת ש”י.
