Beautiful autograph letter to R. Moshe Shmuel Shapiro and R. Shlomo Wolbe of Yeshivas Be’er Yaakov. He requests that they accept his nephew in the Yeshiva and that he will cover any necessary expenses.
R. Aaron Cohen (1904-1961), was in born in Lithuania and in his youth learned in the Lomza Yeshiva. At the age of 15 he joined the famed Slabodka Yeshiva where he was known as an Ilui. In 1924, he was part of the group that went from Slabodka to Eretz Yisroel to establish Yeshivas Chevron and he eventually married the daughter of the Rosh Yeshiva R. Moshe Mordechai Epstein. In 1934, following the passing of his father-in-law, he began saying shiurim at the Yeshiva and shortly thereafter was appointed Rosh Yeshiva.

מכתב אוטוגרפי יפיפה לר’ משה שמואל שפירא ור’ שלמה וולבה מישיבת באר יעקב. הוא מבקש כי יקבלו את אחיינו לישיבה, וכי הוא יכסה את העלויות הנצרכות לכך.
ר’ אהרן כהן (תרס”ד- תשכ”א, 1904-1961), נולד בליטא ולמד בצעירותו בישיבת לומז’ה. בגיל 15 הצטרף לישיבת סלבודקא הנודעת בה התפרסם כעילוי. בשנת תרפ”ד 1924 עלה יחד עם קבוצה נבחרת מישיבת סלבודקא לארץ ישראל כדי להקים בה את ישיבת חברון. לימים נישא לביתו של ר’ משה מרדכי אפשטיין, ואחר פטירת חמיו בתרצ”ד 1934, החל למסור שיעורים בישיבה. זמן קצר לאחר מכן נתמנה לראש הישיבה.
