Lengthy unpublished manuscript of novella on the first Perek of Kiddushin handwritten by R. Michoel Bachrach.
R. Michoel Bachrach (born 1710), was a descendant of R. Yair Chaim Bachrach (Chavas Yair). Known as tremendous Talmid Chochom and renowned Posek he served as a Dayan on the Beis Din of the Noda B’Yehuda in Prague as well as Rosh Yeshiva in Prague. He later was appointed to the prestigious post of Rosh Bais Din in Prague. He was held in enormous esteem by The Noda B’Yehuda and as such R. Shmuel Landau included novella from R. Michoel Bachrach in the Tz’lach.
He was renowned for his expertise in Hilchos Agunos and his novella on Shulchan Aruch Even HaEzer were published posthumously under the title Arugas Ha’Bosem.
This surviving manuscript contains novella from the beginning of the Masechta until Daf 21b.

ר’ מיכאל בכרך (נולד ת”ע, 1710), היה צאצא של ר’ יאיר בכרך (חוות יאיר). נודע כתלמיד חכם ופוסק עצום ושימש כדיין בבית הדין של הנודע ביהודה בפראג. כמו כן כיהן כראש ישבה בפראג. לימים נתמנה לראש בית הדין בפראג. הנודע ביהודה העריצו עד מאוד עד כדי שבתחילת ספר צל”ח למסכת ביצה מופיע קטע מתורת רבי מיכאל, שעליו כותב ר’ שמואל לנדאו, בנו של הנוב”י לאחר פטירת אביו: “היות ויודע אני כמה היו חביבים דבריו של הגאון רבי מיכאל בכרך אצל אבא זצ”ל, לכן מדפיס אני דברים אלו בראש הספר”. התפרסם במומחיותו בדיני עגונות. תורתו על השולחן ערוך אבן העזר נדפסה אחר פטירתו בספר ערוגות הבושם.
