Extremely strongly worded autograph letter by R. Tzvi Hirsch Ferber to R. Aaron Milevsky. R. Ferber addresses various religious issues that he found problematic in the nascent State of Israel, and in particular the initiative to reestablish the Sanhedrin. Written in an unusably acerbic style against the rabbinical leadership of the concept.
R. Tzvi Hirsch Ferber (1879-1966), was born in Kovno and learned in the Slabodka Yeshiva, as well as under R. Yitzchok Elchanan Spektor, R. Itzele Blazer and R. Naftali Amsterdam. In 1911, he immigrated to Manchester where he founded a Yeshiva along with R. Yehoshua Silverstone. In 1913, R. Tzvi Hirsch accepted the call to become the Rav of the West End Talmud Torah. Renowned as a great Talmudic scholar, gifted orator and a prolific author of over 22 seforim.

מכתב אוטוגרפי חריף במיוחד מר’ צבי הירש פרבר לר’ אהרן מילקבסקי. ר’ פרבר מתייחס לסוגיות שונות בחיי הדת במדינת ישראל הצעירה שהיו בעייתיות בעיניו, ובפרט ליוזמה להקמת הסנהדרין מחדש. כתוב בסגנון חריף במיוחד נגד המנהיגות הרבנית של יוזמה זו.
ר’ צבי הירש פרבר (תרל”ט-תשכ”ו) נולד בקובנה שבליטא ונתגדל על ברכם של גדולי הדור, ביניהם: הרב יצחק אלחנן ספקטור, הרב יצחק בלאזר והרב נפתלי אמסטרדם. בשנת תרע”א, אחר שנות לימודיו בישיבת סלובודקא, היגר למנצ’סטר שבאנגליה, ושם יסד ישיבה גדולה יחד עם ר’ יהושע סילברסטון. בשנת תרע”ג נענה לעתירת בעלי הבתים לקבל על עצמו משרת רבנות בק”ק ‘ועסט ענד ת”ת’ שבלונדון הבירה. הרב פרבר היה ידוע כת”ח מובהק ודרשן נפלא. הוא גם הוציא עשרות ספרים תורניים חשובים
