Variant first edition of the classic responsa TaSHBaTZ, by R. Shimon Ben Tzemach Doran, with two signatures of R. Shlomo Ganzfried, (written in square letters). Additional note bound into the sefer in R. Ganzfried’s hand, regarding two pages bound in the incorrect place.
According to bibliographers this 1741 edition is in fact also the first edition of the TaSHBaTZ, printed in 1738, with a variant title page dated 1741, with illustrations of Moshe and Aaron and other changes. (See Alei Sefer pages 119-132).
R. Shlomo Ganzfried (1804-1886), served as Av Bais Din in Ungvar where he was greatly revered. He authored many important seforim on a wide variety of topics, most notably the Kitzur Shulchan Oruch which was received to great acclaim, and is accepted as a fundamental Halachic work, found in the majority of Jewish homes.

מהדורה ראשונה של שו”ת תשב”ץ, מאת ר’ שמעון בן צמח דורן, עם שתי חתימות של ר’ שלמה גנצפריד (באותיות מרובעות). פתק נוסף כרוך עם הספר בכתב הר’ גנצפריד, בעניין שני עמודים הכרוכים במקום הלא נכון.
לדברי ביבליוגרפיים מהדורה זו של תק”א (1741) הינה המהדורה הראשונה של ספר התשב”ץ שנדפס בתצ”ח (1738), עם עמוד שער שונה המתוארך לתק”א (1741), עם איורים של משה ואהרון ועוד שינויים. (ראה עלי ספר עמודים 119-132).
ר’ שלמה גנצפריד (תקס”ד-תרמ”ו 1804-1886) שימש כאב בית דין באונגוואר, שם זכה להערכה רבה. הוא כתב ספרים חשובים רבים במגוון רחב של נושאים. המפורסם ביניהם הוא ה”קיצור שולחן ערוך” שהתקבל בכבוד רב ומקובל כספר הלכה יסודי המצוי ברוב בתי ישראל.
