Contract for the selling of Chametz, printed by the Bais Din of Satmar. The contract is not dated, however the Hebrew text lists the year as ת”ש… i.e. 1940 and beyond. Presumably this was printed before May 1944, when the local Jewish community was deported by the Nazis to Auschwitz. As such, this document was likely prepared by the local Bais Din under the leadership of R. Yoel Teitelbaum, who was appointed as Satmar Rav in 1934 and remained in Satmar until the Nazi occupation.

שטר מכירת חמץ, שנדפס על ידי בית הדין של סאטמר. השטר אינו מתוארך, אולם בטקסט העברי מצוינת השנה ת”ש…… כלומר משנת ת”ש (1940) ואילך. מסתבר שהשטר הוא מלפני שנת תש”ד 1944 שאז גרשו הנאצים את הקהילה היהודית המקומית לאושוויץ. וכנראה נכתב בבית הדין של סאטמר בראשותו של ר’ יואל טייטלבוים, שנתמנה לאב”ד סאטמר בתרצ”ד 1934, ונותר בה על הכיבוש הנאצי.
