Genealogy of the extended Twersky family, by R. Aaron D. Twersky. Founded by R. Menachem Nochum Twersky “Meor Einayim”. The dynasty is named after the Ukrainian town of Chernobyl, where R. Nochum served as Maggid.
The Chernobyl dynasty includes Cherkas, Horonsteipl, Machnovka, Makarov, Rachmistrivka, Skver, Tolna, Trisk and several others. At the onset of the Holocaust there were hundreds of descendants in the extended family. Numerous facsimiles including an approbation written by R. Moshe Rokeach, on behalf of his father of R. Aaron of Belz.

השושלת נוסדה על ידי האדמו”ר ר’ מנחם נחום טווערסקי, ה”מאור עיניים”, והיא קרויה על שם העיר האוקראינית טשרנוביל, שם שימש ר’ נחום כמגיד. שושלת טשרנוביל כוללת את החסידויות טשרקס, הורנסטייפל, מחנובקא, מאגרוב רחמסטריווקא, סקווער, טאלנא, טריסק ועוד כמה אחרים. בראשית השואה כללה המשפחה המורחבת מאות צאצאים. כמה פקסימיליות, כולל מכתב הסכמה מאת ר’ משה רוקח, בשם אביו ר’ אהרן מבעלזא.
