R. Yonason Eibeshitz (1690-1764), was born in Cracow and was famous as a child prodigy. He served as Dayan in Prague and later as Rav of the three joint communities of Altona, Hamburg and Wandsbeck. He was a prolific author most well-known for Kraisi U’Plaisi on the Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah and Urim V’Tumim on Choshen Mishpat.
Throughout the book are scholarly glosses, many of them lengthy, written by an unknown scholar.

ר’ יהונתן אייבשיץ (ת”נ-תקכ”ד 1690-1764) נולד בקראקוב והוא נודע כילד פלא. הוא היה דיין בפראג ולימים כיהן כרב בשלוש קהילות: אלטונה, המבורג וונדסבק. הוא היה סופר פורה שהתפרסם בעיקר בזכות ספרו “כרתי ופלתי” על שולחן ערוך יורה דעה ו”אורים ותומים” על חושן משפט.
לאורך הספר מופיעות הערות למדניות, רבות מהן ארוכות, מאת תלמיד חכם בלתי ידוע.
