Complete Vilna Shas, “Regal” edition, printed by the Romm family between the years 1880-1886. The Vilna Shas was one of the most celebrated editions of the Talmud. Almost all subsequent editions base their format and pagination on the Vilna Shas. Printed by the Romm family, who invested tremendous efforts and resources to produce an accurate and beautiful Shas with over 103 new commentaries. This included, engaging a team of Talmidei Chachomim as well as acquiring tens of manuscripts and early editions of the Talmud and commentaries. After six years of intense labor, the result was a beautiful Shas which was received to great acclaim and greatly favored by many Talmidei Chachomim.
The Regal edition which was printed on extremely high quality paper, with wide margins is truly a pleasure to learn from, as has stood the test of time to be one of most popular and well received editions of the Talmud ever printed.
