The comprehensive commentary of the renowned R. Yitzchok Abarbanel is primarily a philosophical, theological, ethical and to some extent historical commentary. His method is structured in an original form, prefacing each section with a number of questions and then interpreting that section in such a manner as to gradually resolve them. The preface includes the Abrabanel’s account of his life in Spain and the subsequent expulsion and provides a glimpse of the events surrounding this tragic event in Jewish history.
