Fundamental Sefer on the laws and customs of marriage, by R. Refoel Meldola. It was received to great acclaim and for generations this Sefer has served as an essential handbook for both scholars and layman.
R. Refoel Meldola (1754 –1828) was born in Livorno into a rabbinical family. He received Semicha from the Chida. In 1805 he elected Haham of the Spanish and Portuguese Jews of Great Britain where he served with distinction until his passing.
He is buried in London and in recent years many visit his Kever. There are numerous stories of people who visited his Kever and recited the prayer printed at the beginning of the Chupas Chasanim for a Shidduch and shortly thereafter found shidduchim.

ספר יסודי על דיני ומנהגי הנישואין, מאת ר’ רפאל בן חזקיהו מילדולה. הספר התקבל בתשואות רבות ושימש משך דורות רבים למדריך חיוני לתלמידי חכמים ופשוטי העם כאחד.
ר’ רפאל מילדולה (תקי”ד- תקפ”ח, 1754-1828), נולד בליוורנו למשפחה רבנית מפוארת. קיבל סמיכה מהחיד”א. בשנת תקס”ה 1805 נבחר לכהן כ”חכם” של יהודי ספרד ופורטוגל בבריטניה. הוא נשא תואר זה בכבוד עד לפטירתו.
בשנים האחרונות החלו רבים לפקוד את קברו אשר בלונדון. מעוכבים רבים מספרים כי נושעו במציאת שידוך אחר שפקדו את קברו והתפללו את התפילה המיוחדת לזיווג הגון שמודפסת בתחילת הספר חופת חתנים.
