Although R. Yosef Karo also wrote the Shulchan Aruch, he is known by the title of his first sefer as “The Beis Yosef”. Later incorporated into almost every edition of the Tur, it has been accepted for generations as the most prominent commentary on the Tur and they are consistently learned together as Tur-Beis Yosef.
