Autograph letter to the board of directors of Manchester Yeshiva regarding the upcoming Yahrzeit of the late Rosh Yeshiva, R. Moshe Yitzchak Segal, commending the Siyum Ha’Shas being made in his memory. With additional lines praising the new Rosh Yeshiva, R. Yehuda Zev Segal, later world renowned as a great Gaon and Tzaddik. R. Tzvi Hirsch Ferber (1879–1966), an outstanding scholar who authored 22 acclaimed works, was born in Kovno, where he studied in the prestigious Slabodka yeshiva, as well as under R. Yitzchak Elchonon Spektor, R. Yitzchak Blazer and R. Naftali Amsterdam. He immigrated to Manchester, England in 1911, where he co-founded the yeshiva. In July 1913, he was appointed Rav of the West End Talmud Torah Synagogue in London, and in a short span of time, successfully centralized the Jewish activities and religious life of the community into one institution.
