Published in Hebrew by Yitzchok Sovalsky, the paper was founded around 1896 and was published weekly in Hebrew. It attempted to provide Jewish News from across the globe, and indeed provides a fascinating glimpse of snippets of news from far and near. Of particular interest are the advertisements, offering various goods and services to the discerning Jewish customer. These often include advertisements for various ritual services as well as often humorous references to competitors.
