Autograph letter dated 1960 written on an aerogramme to R. Nissan Tuktchinsky of Yeshivas Eitz Chaim. Concerning financial arrangements of Yeshivas Eitz Chaim as well as a request for detailed activities of the Yeshiva. Following the passing of his father in law, R. Isser Zalman Meltzer in 1954, R. Aaron agreed to succeed him as Rosh Yeshiva in Eitz Chaim. In addition to being involved in the running of the Yeshiva, he delivered shiurim there on a regular basis whenever he was visiting Eretz Yisroel.
R. Aaron Kotler (1892-1963) was renowned from a young age for his brilliant mind coupled with his great diligence. He served as Rosh Yeshiva in Slutzk, Kletsk and following the Holocaust reestablished his Yeshiva in Lakewood. Known as the pre-eminent Rosh Yeshiva and Torah leader of his generation he was pivotal in the reestablishment of Yeshivos following the Holocaust.

מכתב אוטוגרפי מתוארך לשנת תש”כ (1960) על איגרת אוויר, ממוען לר’ ניסן טוקצ’ינסקי מישיבת עץ חיים. בעניין סידורים כספיים לישיבת עץ חיים וכן בקשת פעילות מפורטת של הישיבה. לאחר פטירת חמיו ר’ איסר זלמן מלצר בשנת תשי”ד (1954), הסכים ר’ אהרן לרשת את מקומו כראש ישיבת עץ חיים. בנוסף למעורבותו בניהול הישיבה, הוא מסר שם שיעורים על בסיס קבוע בכל פעם שהוא ביקר בארץ ישראל
ר’ אהרן קוטלר (תרנ”ב-תשכ”ג 1892-1963) נודע מגיל צעיר בשכלו החריף ובשקדנותו העצומה. הוא כיהן כראש ישיבה בסלוצק ובקלצק, והקים מחדש את ישיבתו מחדש לאחר השואה בלייקווד. היה ידוע כראש הישיבה וגדול התורה המוביל בדורו, והיה דמות מפתח בייסוד המחודש של עולם הישיבות לאחר השואה
