linear system for the Synagogue, the home and the

? The purpose of this prayer book was to provide
an English translation for the American youth who
were not as familiar with the Hebrew language,
thereby assisting them in following the prayers.
Additionally it was to be used as a teaching tool
for Hebrew school; as the author recommends,
covering the English translation. Contains both
the daily and the Festival prayers. With a prayer
for President Theodore Roosevelt. At the front of
the siddur there are three photographs of a young
man donning Tefillin to provide a visual aid on the
correct placement of Tefillin followed by one page
of musical notes for various parts of the service.
At the back of the siddur on the paste-down
endpaper, lengthy advertisement in Yiddish for all
of Magil’s publications.
