Dated July 13th 1872, entitled: A prayer offered up for the success of Sir Moses Montefiore’s journey to Russia. With prayer in Hebrew and English beseeching G-d that “perhaps the Czar, moved by the earnest solicitations of the venerable messenger, will persist in the noble policy of tolerance which has already brightened his reign, have pity on our brethren… So that the horrible persecutions… May not be repeated in the future”.
