of Mikva’os by R. Tzvi Hirsh Grodzensky of Omaha,
Nebraska. Considered by bibliographers to be the
first extensive halachic work printed on American
shores.
? R. Tzvi Hirsh Grodzensky (1858- 1948) was
among the most illustrious students of Volozhin
and Kovno Kollel. In 1891 he immigrated to
America, and served as the Rav of Omaha for
over 50 years. Contains an approbation from R.
Yitzchok Elchonon Spektor written a few weeks
before his passing. Cousin of the famed R. Chaim
Ozer Grodzensky of Vilna.
