R. Moshe Kunitz (1774-1837) served as Rav in Ofen and Budapest. He was a somewhat interesting personality, as he was a great Talmudic scholar as well as being fluent in secular studies and was familiar with members of the Enlightenment.

ר’ משה קוניץ (תקל”ד-תקצ”ז 1774-1837) כיהן כרב בערים אופן ובודפסט. אישיותו היתה מעניינת למדי, בהיותו תלמיד חכם עצום וגם בקי במקצועות כלליים והיה מיודד עם חברי תנועת ההשכלה.
