Literally translated as the “The Gathered Sheaves”, the Shibolei HaLeket is a Halachic compilation by R. Tzidkiya ben R. Avrohom Anav. The author cites earlier works, and then after a brief discussion, states his own position. Quoted extensively by R. Yosef Karo in Shulchan Aruch, the Shibolei HaLeket has a direct influence on practical Halacha.
R. Tzidkiya ben R. Avrohom (1225-1297), was one of many distinguished scholars from the well-known Anav family. The Anav family (Heb. Min-Ha’Anavim) had a tradition as being one of four Noble Jewish families exiled by Titus to Rome in the year 70 C.E.

ר’ צדקיה בן ר’ אברהם (ד”א תתקפ”ה- ה”א נ”ז, 1225-1297), היה מבניה של משפחת עניו המפורסמת אשר נתברכה בתלמידי חכמים רבים וגדולים. למשפחת עניו (בעברית מן הענווים) הייתה מסורת כי היא אחת מארבע המשפחות שהגלה טיטוס לרומא בשנת 70 לפני הספירה.
