Rare notebook of Torah Novella written in Poland between the two wars. The author Yehuda Leibish Rosenblum from the city of Tomashov, seems to have been a promising young Talmudic scholar. Containing over 50 pages of Torah thoughts, including a page of Torah thoughts that the author heard directly from the renowned Rebbe of Piaseczno on the festival of Shavuos in 1929. Additionally containing a Torah discussion between the Rebbe of Gur (Imrei Emes) and the Rebbe of Alexander during a meeting at the Marienbad resort, which the author personally overheard. R. Kalonimus Kalman Schapiro (1889-1944), a scion of the Kozhnitz dynasty, was an outstanding Talmid Chochom and one of the most dynamic leaders of the Chasidic youth in Poland, both in the prewar period and during the Holocaust. His sefer Chovas Hatalmidim received great acclaim and remains a classic of Chassidic thought until today. For hundreds of years the Jews of Poland were known for their outstanding Talmudic scholarship. This book, which miraculously survived the Holocaust, is an important remnant of the annihilated Polish Jewry.
