The publisher, R. Eliezer Yeruchum Baron of Cracow (1830-1892), was the grandson of the author and a son-in-law of the Divrei Chaim. At the time of the printing, he was childless, and in his introduction he writes a supplication that in the merit of publishing the sefer he would merit children. Indeed, a son was born to him around 1874, R. Menachem Mendel (1874-1942), who later published the second edition in 1897.

המוציא לאור, ר’ אליעזר ירוחם ברון מקראקא (תק”צ- תרנ”ב, 1830-1892), היה נכדו של המחבר וחתנו של הדברי חיים. בעת ההדפסה טרם נולדו לו ילדים, ובהקדמתו הוא כותב תחינה כי בזכות הוצאת הספר לאור יזכה לזרע של קיימא. אכן, בנו ר’ מנחם מנדל (תרל”ד- תש”ב, 1874-1942) נולד בסביבות תרל”ד 1874, והוא זה שלימים הוציא לאור את המהדורה השנייה של ספר זה בשנת תרנ”ז 1897.
