201. PRUSKIN, RABBI PESACH

Typewritten letter on institutional letterhead with signature. Dated Sep. 1938, addressed to Rabbi Dr. Leo Jung of the Joint requesting financial assistance for his Yeshiva. ™ R. Pesach Pruskin (1879-1939) was known from his earliest years for his great diligence, studying in Radin and later in Slabodka. In 1923, he became the Rav of Kobrin where he founded his Yeshiva which attracted outstanding students. One of his most famous students was the world renowned R. Moshe Feinstein.
