Novella on the weekly Torah portions by R. Yisroel, Maggid of Bogopol.
R. Yisroel of Bogopol was grandson of R. Nochum of Chernobyl (Meor Einayim). He was a brother in law and talmid of R. Sholom Shachna of Prohobisht (father of R. Yisroel of Ruzhin).
With approbations of R. Aaron of Chernobyl who extols the author and warmly blesses all those who purchase the sefer.
This copy has an extra unrecorded title page. Curiously the extra title page has the name of the sefer as Ateres Tiferes Yisroel not Tiferes Yisroel. Indeed, in his approbation R. Aaron of Chernobyl instructs to name the sefer Ateres Tiferes Yisroel.

ר’ ישראל מבאהפאלי היה נכדו של ר’ נחום מצ’רנוביל (מאיר עיניים). גיסו ותלמידו של ר’ שלום שכנא מפרוהובישט (אביו של ר’ ישראל מרוז’ין).
עם הסכמה מר’ אהרן מצ’רנוביל אשר מפליג בשבח המחבר ומברך את כל מי שירכוש ספר זה.
בעותק זה מופיע עמוד שער נוסף לא מתועד. מעניין לציין כי בעמוד השער הזה נקרא הספר עטרת תפארת ישראל ולא תפארת ישראל. אכן, בהסכמתו מורה ר’ אהרן מצ’רנוביל לקרוא לספר עטרת תפארת ישראל.
