Autograph postcard to R. Yosef Shub (secretary of R. Chaim Ozer Grodzensky), notifying him that he was travelling to Suvalk but due to the sudden illness of his brother his plans have changed. With an addendum (in pencil) updating that his brother’s condition improved and that he will be arriving to Suvalk soon.
R. Aharon Walkin (1865-1942), was a prized talmid of the Netziv of Volozhin. Following his marriage, he studied in Kovno Kollel and served as Rav in Shad and Amstilov before becoming the Rav of Pinsk-Karlin. He was one of the most well-known and distinguished rabbonim in Lithuania. He perished in the Holocaust in 1942. Author of Zkan Aharon, Beis Aharon and various other seforim.

ר’ אהרן וואלקין (תרכ”ה-תש”ב, 1865-1942), היה מגדולי תלמידיו של הנצי”ב מוואלאז’ין. אחר נישואיו למד בכולל קובנא וכיהן כרב בשאד ובאמסטילוב עד שנתמנה לרב בפינסק-קרלין. היה מגדולי רבני ליטא ומהמפורסמים שבהם. נספה בשואה בתש”ב 1942. מחבר הספרים זקן אהרן, בית אהרן ועוד ספרים נוספים.
