Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De’ah, with two primary commentaries by R. Yonason Eibeschutz.
This was his first published Sefer and the only one printed in his lifetime. In his introduction, the author includes important biographical information, the titles of his other seforim (he hoped to print) as well as information regarding the well-known controversy between him and R. Yaakov Emden.
R. Yonason Eibeschitz (1690-1764), was orphaned from his father as a child. He was raised by R. Meir Eisenstadt (Ponim Me’iros). He served initially as Rosh Yeshiva in Prague and in 1741, was appointed as Rav in Metz succeeding R. Yehoshua Falk (Pnei Yehoshua). In 1750 he was appointed as Rav of the joint communities of Altona, Hamburg and Wandsbeck (AHU) where he served until his passing. One of the greatest Achronim, he authored over thirty Seforim on a wide range of subjects.
R. Yosef Yuska Schapira (1778-1853), was a son of R. Eliyahu Schapira. Renowned as great Gaon and Tzaddik he was known with the title “Yosef HaTzadik”. He was one of the only Rabbonim to receive Semicha from R. Akiva Eiger with whom he corresponded extensively. He served as Rav of Leslau and was one the most well-known rabbinical figures of his time. In recent years his novella were published under the title Chidushei MaHaRI Schapira. With inscription by R. Moshe Schapira (son of R. Yosef Yuska) attesting that the sefer belongs to his father.

זהו ספרו הראשון שהודפס והיחיד שיצא לאור בשנות חייו. בהקדמתו מביא המחבר מידע ביוגרפי חשוב, את שמות ספריו הנוספים (אותם הוא מקווה להוציא לאור), וכן על המחלוקת הידועה בינו לבין ר’ יעקב עמדין.
ר’ יהונתן איבשיץ (ת”נ-תקכ”ד 1690-1764), נתייתם מאביו בגיל צעיר מאוד, וגדל בבית ר’ מאיר אייזנשטאט (הפנים מאירות). שימש בתחילה כראש ישיבה בפראג, ובתק”א (1741), מונה לממלא מקומו של ר’ יהושע פאלק (הפני יהושע) כרב במיץ. בתק”י (1750) קיבל את תפקיד הרבנות בהתאגדות הקהילות של אלטונה, המבורג וונדסבק (אה”ו), בו שימש עד פטירתו. היה מגדולי האחרונים, חיבר למעלה משלושים ספרים בנושאים שונים.
ר’ יוסף יאסקי שפירא (תקל”ח- תרי”ג, 1778-1853) היה בנו של ר’ אליהו שפירא. נודע כגאון וצדיק עצום וכונה “יוסף הצדיק”. היה מהרבנים היחידים שקיבלו סמיכה מר’ עקיבא איגר ואף התכתב עימו רבות. התפרסם ביותר בדמותו הרבנית וכיהן כרב בלסלאו. בשנים האחרונות יצאו חידושיו לאור בספר חידושי מהר”י שפירא. עם הקדשה מבנו ר’ משה שפירא המאשר כי הספר השתייך לאביו.
