R. Yaakov Perlow (1930-2020), was a son of R. Nochum Mordechai of Novominsk and descended from many important Chassidic dynasties including Sokolov and Kotzk. He learned in Yeshivas R. Chaim Berlin and was renowned as an outstanding Talmid Chochom. He first served as Rosh Yeshiva in the Skokie Yeshiva and later as Rosh Yeshiva in the “Breuer’s” Yeshiva of Washington Heights. In 1976, he succeeded his father as Novominsker Rebbe and later established his own Yeshiva. Additionally he served as president of the Agudath Yisroel of America, as well as a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah.

ר’ יעקב פרלוב (תר”צ- תש”ף, 1930-2020) היה בנו של ר’ נחום מרדכי מנובומינסק וצאצא לשושלות חסידיות נכבדות רבות, כמו סוקולוב וקוצק. למד בישיבת ר’ חיים ברלין ונודע כתלמיד חכם עצום. כיהן תחילה כראש ישיבה בישיבת סקוקי ואחר כך כראש ישיבה בישיבת ברויאר בוושינגטון הייטס. בשנת תשל”ו 1976 ירש את מקום אביו כאדמו”ר מנובומינסק ואף הקים ישיבה בעצמו. בנוסף, שימש כראש אגודת ישראל באמריקה, וכן כחבר מועצת גדולי התורה.
