R. Yosef Kolon known by the acronym MaHaRI”K (c. 1420-1480), was one of the last Rishonim. He was one of the most influential rabbinical figures of his period, and received halachic queries from far and wide. This important collection of responsa had a seminal influence upon the development of practical Halacha and most of the Halachic decisors of the following generations quote his Halachic rulings.
