Warm autograph letter by R. Yechezkel Sarna to R. Yaakov Moshe Lessin of Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yitzchok Elchanan (father-in-law of R. Avigdor Miller). R. Sarna writes of the “Kinnus” of Chevron Talmidim and of the situation of Yeshivas Chevron in Yerusholayim.
R. Yechezkel Sarna (1890–1969), was among the closest disciples of R. Nosson Tzvi Finkel the “Alter of Slabodka” and was the son-in-law of R. Moshe Mordechai Epstein, Rosh Yeshiva of the Slabodka Yeshiva. He had a leading role in the transfer of part of the Yeshiva from Europe to Chevron in 1925 and following the Chevron Massacre of 1929, the re-establishment of the Yeshiva in Yerusholayim. In 1934, following the passing of his father in law he was appointed Rosh Yeshiva where he served for the rest of his life.

מכתב לבבי בכתב ידו ובחתימתו של ר’ יחזקאל סרנא לרב יעקב משה לעסין מישיבת רבינו יצחק אלחנן, חמיו של ר’ אביגדור מילר. ר’ סרנא כותב אודות כינוס תלמידי ישיבת חברון ומצב הישיבה בירושלים.
ר’ יחזקאל סרנא (תר”ן – תשכ”ט, 1890-1969), היה מתלמידיו המקורבים ביותר של ר’ נתן צבי פינקל ה”אלטער מסלבודקא” וחתנו של ר’ משה מרדכי אפשטיין, ראש ישיבת סלבודקא. הוא נטל חלק גדול בהעברת חלק מהישיבה מאירופה לחברון בתרפ”ה (1925), ולאחר טבח חברון בשנת תרפ”ט (1929), בהקמתה מחדש של הישיבה בירושלים. בשנת תרצ”ד (1934), עם פטירת חותנו, הוא נתמנה לראש הישיבה שם כיהן עד פטירתו.
