On the title page there IS’s an inscription by R. Dovid Deutsch that he HAD received this work on the way to Breslau on 21 Av, 1854 with his signature. At the end of the work is 5 sides full of novella in his handwriting.
R. Dovid Deutsch (1810-1873), was a talmid of R. Mordechai Banet and the Chasam Sofer. He served as Rov in Mislovitz and later as Rov in Zorhovei. He authored the sefer “Osof Asifa” against the conference of the Reform leaders held in Braunschweig in addition to other works. He was a nephew of the famed R. Dovid Deutsch, author of Ohel Dovid. ספר ‘יד מלאכי’, כללים, מאת ר’ מלאכי הכהן. ברלין תרי”ד (1854).
בעמוד השער מופיעה הקדשה של ר’ דוד דייטש המעידה שהוא קיבל ספר זה בדרכו לברסלוא בכ”א אב, 1854 (תרי”ד), עם חתימתו. בסוף הספר מופיעים חמישה צדדים מלאי חידושי תורה בכתב ידו.
ר’ דוד דייטש (תק”ע-תרל”ג 1810-1873) היה תלמיד של ר’ מרדכי בנט והחתם סופר. הוא כיהן כרב במיסלוביץ ולימים אף בזורהוביי. הוא חיבר את הספר ‘אסף אסיפה’ נגד וועידת התנועה הרפורמית בברונצווייג וכן ספרים נוספים. היה אחיינו של ר’ דוד דייטש הנודע, מחבר ספר ‘אוהל דוד’. ראה ‘החתם סופר ותלמידיו’, עמ’ ק”ה.
