R. Aryeh Leibish Horowitz (1790-1860), was a talmid of R. Elozor Lowey (Shemen Rokeach). He was one of the outstanding Talmidei Chachomim in Brod, a community known for generations for its Torah scholarship. With important approbations from the Yeshuos Yaakov, the Chavas Da’as, the Chasam Sofer and the Shemen Rokeach.
With library stamp of R. Yaakov Koppel Marillus Rov of Litvisk and grandson of R. Shimon of Yaroslov.
Includes a page of corrections unrecorded by Vinograd.

ר’ אריה לייביש הורביץ (תק”נ-תר”כ 1790-1860), היה תלמידו של ר’ אלעזר לווי (שמן רוקח). היה מגדולי תלמידי החכמים בברוד, קהילה שנודעה משך דורות בתלמידי החכמים העצומים שבה. עם הסכמות מהישועות יעקב, החוות דעת, החת”ם סופר, והשמן רוקח.
עם חותמת ספרייתו של ר’ יעקב קאפל מארילוס רב בליטוויסק, ונכד ר’ שמעון מירוסלאב.
