Rare booklet of the constitution, consisting of 17 clauses of the Dzikover Kloiz in the East end of London. In the early twentieth century a small group of Dzikover Chasidim found themselves in London. Dissatisfied with the existing infrastructure of Anglo Jewry, they formed a shtiebel for learning and davening, in an attempt to provide a taste of home in unfamiliar surroundings. This was evidently with the permission and encouragement of the Dzikover Rebbe R. Yehoshua Horowitz (Ateres Yehoshua), and indeed clause #13 requires the making of a regular “Mi Shaberach” for Moreinu R. Yehoshua Ben Moreinu R. Meir. Interestingly almost 90 years later, the Ateres Yehoshua’s grandson, R. Yiddele Horowitz of Dzikov spent his final years in London.

ספר נדיר של תקנון קלויז דז’יקוב באיסט אנד של לונדון, המורכב מ 17 סעיפים. בתחילת המאה העשרים מצאה עצמה קבוצה קטנה של חסידי דז’יקוב בלונדון. מאוכזבים מהתשתית הקיימת של יהדות אנגליה, הם פתחו שטיבל ללימוד ותפילה, בניסיון להביא טעם של בית לסביבה הלא מוכרת. ברור כי הקמת הקלויז הייתה באישורו ובעידודו של האדמו”ר מדז’יקוב ר’ יהושע הורביץ (עטרת יהושע), ואכן סעיף 13 מחייב אמירת “מי שברך” למורנו ר’ יהושע בן מורנו ר’ מאיר. מעניין לציין כי כמעט 90 שנים מאוחר יותר, היה נכדו של העטרת יהושע, ר’ יידלה’ הורביץ מדז’יקוב בשנותיו האחרונות בלונדון.
