Handwritten rabbinical glosses.
Early work of halachic responsa by R. Dovid ben Chaim HaKohen, who lived in the early 15th century and was Rav in Corfu and later in Patras, Greece. He was a disciple of the great R. Yehuda Mintz (MaHaRI Mintz). The title page of these responsa tells of the miraculous rescue of the manuscript from a fire in the home of the author’s son R. Chaim Cohen in Adrianople (Edirne), Turkey. There is a typographical curiosity on pages 183-184, unlike the rest of the book, the text is double-spaced rather than single-spaced.
Lacking pages 1, 8, 225, filled in an early Ashkenazic script. Various unidentified learned glosses in an early Ashkenazic script.

שו”ת הלכתי קדום מאת ר’ דוד בן חיים הכהן, שחי בתחילת המאה ה -15 ושימש כרב תחילה בקורפו ואח”כ בפטרס, יוון. ר’ דוד היה תלמידו של ר’ יהודה מינץ המפורסם (מהר”י מינץ). בעמוד השער של ספר שו”ת זה מסופר על נס ההצלה המופלא של כתב היד משריפה בבית בנו של המחבר ר’ חיים כהן באדרינופול (אדירנה), טורקיה. עובדה טיפוגרפית מעניינת הינה בעמודים 183-184, אשר, שלא כמו בשאר הספר, הטקסט ברווח כפול במקום ברווח יחיד.
חסרים עמודים 1, 8, 225, שהושלמו בכתב עתיק. עם הערות לימודיות לא מזוהות בכתב אשכנזי עתיק.
