R. Shlomo Zalman Bloch (1886-1976), was born in Baranowitz and at the age of 15, went to learn in Novardok, becoming close to the town’s Rov, the Oruch Ha’Shulchon. From there he went to Radin where he became one of the closest students of the Chafetz Chaim, to the extent of learning together with him B’Chavrusa. The Chofetz Chaim held him in great esteem and would send people to him for brochos. After his marriage, he went to study in Eishishok, receiving Semicha from R. Yosef Zundel Hutner. In 1925, he emigrated to Yerusholayim, refusing to accept any position. Renowned as a great Tzaddik and Ba’al Mofes, many flocked to him for his Brochos.

ר’ שלמה זלמן בלוך (תרמ”ו- תשל”ו 1886-1976), נולד בברנוביץ, ומגיל 15 החל לומד בישיבת נובהרדוק, שם התקרב מאוד לרב העיר- בעל ערוך השולחן. משם עבר לראדין וזכה להערכה רבה מהחפץ חיים שלמד עמו בחברותא, ואף שלח אליו להתברך. אחר נישואיו עבר ללמוד באיישישוק, שם קיבל סמיכה מר’ יוסף זונדל הוטנר. בשנת תרפ”ה (1925), עלה לארץ ישראל וסרב לקבל עליו תפקיד כלשהוא. נודע כצדיק עצום ובעל מופת, ורבים נהרו אליו לברכות.
