Rare book of eulogies for Rabbonim, illustrious community leaders and various individuals, by R. Avrohom Eber Hershowitz (1840-1924), a distinguished Rov who originated from Lithuania and served as a Rov in various communities around the world, before immigrating to Eretz Yisroel in 1922.
This unusual sefer contains the sermons delivered by R. Hershowitz at “unveilings” in New York at which he officiated, as well as transcriptions of gravestones and plaques. It offers an unusual source of reference and valuable biographic information regarding the personalities appearing therein.
At the beginning of the book, there is a letter dated 1891 received by the author (whilst residing in London), from R. Yitzchok Elchonon Spektor, asking him to convey his condolences to the family and community members of Chief Rabbi Nathan Adler on his passing, and informing them that he delivered a Hesped in the great synagogue of Kovno.
Rare book not found in most libraries around the world, (only two copies are listed in libraries in America).

ספר נדיר לזכרם של רבנים, ראשי קהילות מפורסמים ואישים שונים, מאת ר’ אברהם הרשוביץ (ת”ר- תרפ”ד 1840-1924), רב נכבד ממוצא ליטאי, שימש כרב בקהילות שונות ברחבי עולם, עד שעלה לארץ ישראל בשנת תרפ”ב (1922).
ספר יוצא דופן זה מכיל את הדרשות שנמסרו על ידי הרב הרשוביץ בהקמת מצבה בניו יורק שהוא עמד בראשן, וכן תמלילי מצבות ושלטים. הספר מציע מקור בלתי רגיל לעיון ומידע ביוגרפי חשוב לגבי האישים המופיעים בו.
בתחילת הספר ישנו מכתב משנת תרנ”א (1891) שקיבל המחבר (בתקופת מגוריו בלונדון) מר’ יצחק אלחנן ספקטור, בו הוא מבקש ממנו להביע את תנחומיו לבני משפחתו וקהילתו של הרב נתן אדלר- הרב הראשי, עקב פטירתו , ולמסור להם כי נשא הספד בבית הכנסת הגדול בקובנה.
ספר נדיר זה אינו בנמצא ברוב הספריות ברחבי העולם (רק שני עותקים רשומים בספריות באמריקה).
