R. Mordechai Sholom Yosef Friedman (1896-1979), was a son of R. Aaron, the third Rebbe of Sadigura and a direct descendent of R. Yisroel of Ruzhin. Well before the Holocaust he encouraged his Chassidim to settle in Eretz Yisroel. In 1939, the Rebbe visited Eretz Yisroel and on the recommendation of his uncle, R. Yisroel of Husyatin he remained there settling in Tel Aviv.

ר’ מרדכי שלום יוסף פרידמן (תרנ”ו-תשל”ט, 1896-1979), היה בנו של ר’ אהרון – האדמו”ר השלישי מסדיגורא וצאצא ישיר מר’ ישראל מרוז’ין. כבר הרבה לפני השואה עודד את חסידיו לעלות לארץ ישראל. בשנת תרצ”ט (1939), ביקר בארץ ישראל ונותר להשתקע בה בעיר תל אביב כהמלצת דודו – ר’ ישראל מהוסיטין.
