Extremely rare judicial document signed by R. Aaron Leib Homburger-Chalfin Rav of Tzelem. With additional signature of R. Feivel, Dayan in Tzelem.
R. Aaron Leib Homburger-Chalfin was born in Prague, where he later served as a Dayan. In 1751 he was appointed as Rav in Tzelem where he served until his passing in 1785. The Kehilla in Tzelem was one of the most distinguished communities in “Oberland” and was one of the renowned Sheva Kehillos. Although it was a relatively small Kehilla it was famous for its distinguished Rabbonim, who were respected throughout the region and beyond.

מסמך משפטי נדיר ביותר החתום על ידי ר’ אהרן לייב המבורגר-חלפין, רבה של צעהלים. בתוספת חתימתו של ר’ פייבל, דיין בצעהלים.
ר’ אהרן לייב המבורגר-חלפין נולד בפראג ולימים שימש כדיין בעיר. בשנת תקי”א (1751) הוא מונה לרב בצעהלים, משרה בה החזיק עד לפטירתו בתקמ”ה (1785). קהילת צעהלים הייתה מהקהילות הנכבדות ביותר ב”אוברלנד” ונמנתה בין שבע הקהילות המפורסמות. על אף היותה קהילה קטנה היא נודעה ברבניה הדגולים שזכו להערכה במחוז כולו ומחוצה לו.
