R. Chaim Pinchos Scheinberg (1910-2011) was born in Poland and immigrated to the U.S as a child. Renowned from his youth for his diligence in Torah study he travelled to learn at the great Mir yeshiva in Poland where he grew into a prodigious Talmid Chochom. After returning to the U.S. he accepted the position of Mashgiach at the Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim in NY where he made a large impact on his students for 25 years. In 1963 he moved to Eretz Yisroel serving as Rosh Yeshiva in Torah Ohr as well as Rav of Kiryat Mattesdorf.

ר’ חיים פנחס שיינברג (תר”ע-תשע”א 1910-2011) נולד בפולין והיגר לארצות הברית בילדותו. הוא נודע מצעירותו בהתמדתו בלימוד התורה, ונסע ללמוד בישיבת מיר המעטירה, שם צמח לתלמיד חכם מופלג. לאחר חזרתו לארצות הברית, הוא התמנה למשגיח בישיבת חפץ חיים בניו יורק, שם השפיע רבות על תלמידיו במשך 25 שנה. בשנת תשכ”ג (1963) הוא עלה לארץ ישראל ושימש כראש ישיבת תורה אור ורב קריית מטרסדורף.
