Halachic responsa (signed in German) concerning the correct spelling of Yiddish names. The correct spelling of Yiddish names is often the cause of much Halachic debate particularly in relation to the writing of marriage and divorce documents, which may be invalid in the case of names misspelled.
R. Dovid Tzvi Levinger received Semicha from the Chasam Sofer. He served as Rav in Madier and is mentioned numerous times in the responsa of the Chasam Sofer.
