R. Uziel Meizlish (1744-1786) was born into a rabbinical family. At a young age he met the Ba’al Shem Tov and became an early proponent of the Chasidic movement. He was also a disciple of the Mezritcher Maggid. Additionally he was acquainted with R. Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev (Kedushas Levi), R. Nachman of Kosov, R. Meir of Premishlan and R. Schmelke of Nikolsburg. He served as Rav in various communities including Ostrovsa, Ritshaval and Neustadt. One of the early promoters of the Chasidic movement in “Congress” Poland.
Published with warm approbations from R. Chaim Halberstam (Divrei Chaim), R. Menachem Mendel of Vizhnitz, R. Yitzchok Meir of Gur (Chidushei Ha’Rim) amongst others. With two pages of pre subscribers at the end of the sefer, which include many prominent Tsaddikim.

ר’ עוזיאל מייזליש (תק”ד-תקמ”ו 1744-1786) נולד למשפחה רבנית. הוא הכיר את הבעל שם טוב בגיל צעיר והיה אחד התומכים המוקדמים בתנועת החסידות. הוא היה תלמידו של המגיד ממעזריץ והכיר את ר’ לוי יצחק מברדיטשוב (קדושת לוי), ר’ נחמן מקוסוב, ר’ מאיר מפרמישלאן ור’ שמעלקע מניקלשבורג. הוא שימש כרב בקהילות שונות כולל אוסטרובצע, ריטשאבל וניישטאט והיה אחד התומכים המוקדמים של תנועת החסידות ב”קונגרס” פולין.
יצא לאור עם המלצות חמות מר’ חיים הלברשטאם (דברי חיים), ר’ מנחם מנדל מוויזניץ, ר’ יצחק מאיר מגור (חידושי הרי”ם) ועוד. בסוף הספר יש שני עמודים של תורמי מעות קדימה, כולל צדיקים מפורסמים רבים.
